I fine with piss test and have no problem quitting marijuana. I have heard that some companies hair follicle. Does anyone know what companies do this? More specifically does dot foods hair test or only piss test. I know drugs and trucking don't mix. I am not a big time user. On occasion 2 months back and I know I won't pass a hair test and will have to wait but don't want to. If I know sperically which companies only piss test them I'm good. Been ddrug free for 2. Months and I will stay clean. Only used marijuana so u know

Your statement, especially the part I highlighted in red, speaks loudly of if you will actually quit using. If you are wanting to drive a truck, you will be required to wait, and wait and wait. I'm not just talking about any drug testing. As a driver you will be doing more waiting then you can stand for. If you can't wait for your system to clear itself so you can pass a drug test, then forget about being a professional driver. It's just not going to happen. You'll soon get eaten alive with frustration.

Plus if you don't want to wait for that, there's a thousand other things, that if you do get a job driving a big truck, you will not want to do. Will you?

hmmm, you say, "Only used marijuana so u know"...
so does that make it legal all of the sudden??? as a PROFESSIONAL truck driver, you need to not use ANY kind of drugs no matter how harmless YOU think they may be...and if you are on here asking how to skirt companies that use hair folicle testing , than you have no regard for the rules and regulations...i dont mean this rude, altho thats probably how you will take it....but you need to stay clean, or find another line of work.

Kinda hard to do that when every company is required to drug test.

But hey, if you can find a company that doesn't drug test, they probably don't pay anything to work there either.

My only comment might be, wait until as long as it takes until you're certain you can pass a piss test, or a hair test. I have no idea what the percentage who test hair is. But my further guess would be that one terminal's screener in OH might test pee and the same company's terminal screener in NY may test hair and vice versa.

Just know that if you go to work for a reputable carrier, I don't care how small or large, you will at some point be random tested. If you even suspect this may be a problem for you, you seriously need to consider another line of work. Yes, CO has legalized "recreational pot use" but don't think CO truck drivers are able to smoke a joint when the get home, because they can't if they place any value on their job.
