Hey guys, I got my conditional offer on Tuesday. Completed all the paperwork and going for my physical tomorrow. Set up for orientation on Jan 7th in SC. Would it be safe to say I’m good to give my notice at this point?

I would wait until the 22nd to give the notice.

I gave my notice as soon as I got the conditional offer and my company started showing their true colors. Hassling me about every little nitpicking thing they could. If I had known that, I would have just waited until today to tell them I'm quitting tomorrow.

That's when you give them that special 2 week notice. You tell them two weeks from now, you'll notice I ain't been here in 2 weeks. LOL

They’ve been good to me and I don’t want to screw them...I was going to give it in a week or so. I was more or less wondering if I can pretty much count on the job being mine? Seems like they don’t finalize and give the itinerary until right before orientation.

In the group I went through with in mid November, we had 88 folks start, and 82 that got to the finish line. 6 couldnt quite complete the tasks necessary (issues with backing and attitude). It's not official until Thursday of the onboarding week, but at that point, you arent going back to your previous employer, as the next week you will be at your home DC. It's a little tricky to give your current employer 2 week notice, as if you are successful in onboarding you won't be going back. Some folks took vacation then notified their employer of resignation while on vacation.

So now the skills test, driving, backing, pre trip and such are being done during on boarding?
