I never use them and they are oftentimes in the way. There is no visible attachment point. I have tried pulling them off with no luck. Can they be easily removed? The seats are stock in a 2018 780.

If yours is a national like mine, the arm rest is held in by a little push button on the tube that comes out of the arm rest and locks into the seat. You'll have to pry the seat foam and fabric wayyy in towards the middle of the seat to find it

From my experience as a long time Volvo lover, they fall off by themselves after 4-5 years - at that time the chair needs replacement anyway.

When I bought my truck the arm rests were in a plastic bag with all the manuals to the truck. They were never installed because there's no hole in the fabric on the side of the seat to slide that tube into. When I saw this post I thought great someone is going to explain how to get them out which will essentially tell me how to get them in.

rolls canardly and 86scotty Thank this.

They stick out and Make it harder to load/unload the truck and move from the sleeper to the seats.

I usually keep both hands on the wheel and rest the left arm on the door sill. The right arm never seems to need resting.

I would make the dealer install them.
