I have worked for 4 family owned companies that shorted my pay, in one year. Two didn't pay at all, two played the outfumbling game. Flak Us In The Family.

At Christmas and Thanksgiving I get a Grocery store gift card, I carry a company credit card in my name, anytime I want on the road I can stop and buy lunch on it, as long as I turn in the receipt she never questions it. From time to time, my one coworker and I have pickups at the same customer, usually the night before he asks who's buying breakfast, I pull out the company card. They've never questioned it. They used to do the occasional BBQ for us, but stopped because it's too unpredictable to have us all in town on the same day.

Striker think I like your company but you are somewhere I am not nor likely to be. Would love to move for a job done it before, but my SO is a stick in the mud about where she will live.

While I may paint a pic of wine and roses, it's not. There are days where we all get frustrated and want to quit, there are days where we *itch and moan like everyone else, and there are days where we are as happy as can be. But, in the end, at the end of it all, I'm glad I'm where I'm at.

But if the good days happen more often all we can ask for. Trucking ain’t for the weak of heart. Stuff happens and we keep moving forward doing the job we are being paid for the best we can.

When I lived in Tennessee and pulled tankers, made a lot of deliveries to Phoenix; asphalt plant close to the Flying-J and on the east side to Fuji.
