Sin City, are the trucking lanes good out of Las Vegas?

I might have to move closer to Cali cause of family issues. Don't want to move there for a lot of legitimate business reasons. Taxes and cost of living being the biggest. Just wanted to get some feedback from O/Os who run out of Las Vegas. Dry van specifically. How good are the lanes out there?

I really don't know about the 0/0 part of Las Vegas.
Plenty of company driver jobs though.
Lots of O/0's live here, but don't know where they get their freight.

There is some good freight into and out of Vegas. In general trade show and slot machines can be worthwhile.

If you are C.A.R.B. compliant dropping into L.A. basin can be worth while. One of my preferred routes is trade show to Vegas, Deadhead to SoCal for a real money load back north.

Phoenix and Flagstaff may yield interesting freight, along with St. George.

Ive had some freighting that would come through there which includes St Georges Utah I had a load of State Bonded Cherries once. It was treated more valuable than basic Nuclear Weapons as far as we were concerned. We relatively few of those in the USA of the Cherries and it's good that they get to go where we need them.

If you are able to stay away from the Casino Machines (You are battling a never stopping Random Number Generator) and able to push away from a manned table game, it's good to be by yourself vs a Dealer and maybe one player at most. You do not want to be in a crowd of card players with like 300+ playing cards in the game. In other words keep the left door shut and make the miles. Las Vegas also holds a few other possibilities for me (State in general) Nothing but goodies there.

One example at certain times of the year when the ground is very good and the temperatures for lack of a better tact in words quite beachy good... you can get some of the best sleep in your life out here. Quiet. None of that street light arcing into your window. Talking about absolute silence. Enough for me, a deaf man to hear a crincke of metal on steel as it cools off into the night. And the stars... there are millions of them you will only see that far from civilization.

The reason is that FFE thought quite a bit of us to send us into Nevada where so many of the singles were distracted by parking at a fleshpot or casino 15-24 hours not really paying attention to the freighting requirement. Sometimes we had to take loads away from trainers and trainees who were actually late coming through there. We don't make a big deal, that's FFE's job in a back office. And maybe hope to make it to Melrose Park or some other place with a load on a account that is making veiled threats to stopping doing any business with FFE entirely. We have taken loads off people whom the receiver explained to us personally that we are not the object of their anger, nor was the company directly. Some of the people wasted 15 or more hours in one spot being tracked by Qualcomm on satellite in real time by increasingly very angry receivers without a peep towards a rescheduling of appt. Especially when spot is either a flesh pot or a known good time place without getting into more explict description. If we had a little something banked from all the wild conversations from these people who were ashamed that they were late... we would have been part of the US Mint by now.
