Well..... Pop wasn't my Dad, sorry for the misconception lol.

Pop was actually a man named Harry Childers. But in all actuality he treated us like we were his boys. He was a BIG MAN, about 6'-4" with hands like grain shovels, and fingers big as corncobs. He was a true outlaw too!!! Pop was in his 70's back then. He started out behind Case Driveway in Huntington, his company was called Machinery Hauling. He opened the door to this backwoods Hillbilly. Trucks equipped with air assist steering, wig wags, torsion bar suspension, and no power steering at all was common in his fleet. In 1988 he bought a used truck, a big flattop 1987 FLC120 with a triple 4 Cummins with 15 spd. It was pride of the fleet.... at least until panty snatcher ( CB handle ) wrecked it in Tenn.

Don't hold your breath on that warranty covering a broke crank. Crank, cam, rocker arms, and oil cooler are not replaced with a platinum kit. They are inspected to make sure they are good at that time. However if they fail later, and what ever damage said failure causes is on you.

A complete reman engine on the other hand would be covered whether the crank was replaced or not.

Geez, had some catching up to do... 2 hrs of reading, I forget how many pages. So now that I'm exhausted from all that, time to hit up whataburger and get sideways.

@ShooterK2 if you weren't parked in Sonora, TX at the east bound rest area Sunday night, your truck has an identical twin.
