To lease on or get own authority

    Turned 21 in september, haul milk right now for company. Bought a truck a few weeks back and looking to go out on my own.. would like to find a company to lease onto for a few years to learn the ropes, anyone have any advice? Thank you!
    Looking for food grade tank, or non haz tank company

    honestly if you have to ask that question lease on .... rates are high now % is only way to go now ...... learn how on somebody else's money. ..... after you have built some relationships with some good agents then you can think about it and can make a intelligent informed decision on what is best for you ..... and it would be really hard to get any decent load being so young and brand new authority if not impossible especially with a tanker ...... and you just may happen to fall into something good

    Your insurance rates will be sky high for an own authority, if anybody even takes you

    Give up milk and take your truck over to Landstar.. that's the best company at this time that is going to take you... being 21 is gonna be hard to get insurance with your own authority...

    Does landstar lease someone wanting to do tanker? Sorry do not know much about them. Thank you for the reply!

    I was just thinking of someone you can lease to and make some money... Landstar is a good starter company... no they don't do tanker.. just trying to give u some options for cash flow...
