I went to chemical tanker! Superior. Treated 1000 times better than I ever was at EPES. I know 2 other drivers at my terminal that worked there, briefly, and they had nothing but bad things to say. #1 thing they both say, biggest liars in the business to their drivers! TRUE STORY TOO!

Oh ok. I guess it varies individual to individual. I’ve been here 6 years and they’ve been pretty good to me. Again, I can only speak for myself.

I've known people that were there longer and once they got out, they haven't even looked back. EPES is great to START at, but after that, time to leave, if you want to make more money than simple 'cheap freight'. Let's look at the numbers, simple numbers. When I was there, it was first 2 hours free then $12(I know it went up to 14) an hour after. Ok, you sit somewhere for 3 hours, and get $12 for those 3...guess what? That is $4 an hour! WAY LESS than minimum wage. I only 'stuck it out' for my resume...and it really did help out with that. Now, first 2 hours is $20 and $20 an hour AFTER that. so, I'm def well above minimum wage than what you'll get at 'cheap' general freight. NOT slamming you, just pointing out that you can't make any real money there.

well, if you are new to driving, I'd def say they are the way to go. If you have alot of experience and want to make more than $50K I'd say look elsewhere!

I’m on a dedicated account so there is no waiting. If the load isn’t ready, we just leave. I make .47 a mile so it isn’t too bad. Plus $12 a stop. So from Mon-Fri I typically average about 2250 miles and 12 stops (on average) which puts me right at $1200 a week. I’m not getting rich, but not starving either. Trying to switch dedicated accounts to one that gets me home daily and the one I have my eye on pays .49. I can’t complain!

lmao that's funny...Tina said Lowe's 'dedicated' doesn't pay 'stop pay' It's strictly 'mileage'. I covered a Lowe's dedicated one weekend up in Minersville and that paid 53 cpm. I did about 4 stores and after all was 'said and done' I made a whole $250 for 2 days. I talked to a few EPES guys on CB s few weeks back, all said the same thing....the top pay is 47 cpm, 14 an hour(after 2 hours) and it all equals out to be about 52K a year. Which is up from 48K a year there. I busted my butt and made a whole $54K my last year there....nope, not going to believe anymore 'EPES lies' as a driver I work with has said!

You’re getting bad info, but that’s cool. I know what I get paid and really that’s all that matters. Come Jan 2nd I’ll go to a new dedicated account that pays .49 with stop pay, home daily, Mon-Fri and off weekends, 2500 miles a week. WIN WIN WIN!!

so how is the OPERATIONS MANAGER BAD INFO? lmao Look Icey, not gonna argue with stupid here! Keep blowing smoke up people's butt's....looks like you're really the only one left 'flying the flag' for EPES...or Penske now. I left, pretty much done with EVERYONE and EVERYTHING with that company. Only reason why I keep in touch with Tina and someone else is because they know alot of my friends that I grew up with......have a nice life.

You’re right and I’m wrong. I’ve been misreading my check stubs for 6 years. My bad. Tina isn’t on this forum so why are you?
