Got here with 50 minute left on 14.
About 4.5 hrs at Ralph's then that Colton load turned into a live load. They didn't have any empties that had swing doors. Was there about 1 .25 hr.
A long day. only drove 147 miles today

 

A 13+ hour day and only 147 miles.
A bad day indeed.

I basically had the day off.
After 2 pplans that had me picking up after 1800 and would have forced me to drive well into the night, which I hate, I called my DM. I told her I would rather sit today if that was all that was available because I am not going to get on a night schedule.
So I'm picking up a t-call load here at Lathrop tomorrow that is going to Kent, WA.

I'll be getting the same amount of miles in the same time, but I can get back to my normal operating hours.

 

Home taking a 34. After my Walmart load to Ontario I scored a load to the Target DC in Phoenix which I dropped Friday night. Sitting on a Ross load to Theodore, AL which drops Tuesday.

 

Made it to the t/a in Redding ca.
Nothing exciting happened today.
Light rain when I got here. Light fog too.
About 580 miles today

 

I got as far as Weed today before the wind warnings popped up, so I shut down at the Pilot until morning.
60+ gusts north of here.

 

Me too. I left Redding this morning with rain and and wind picked up about 2 miles south of weed. Sent in a Mac 22 for noon tomorrow and they said that's ok.
Weather channel on radio said till 10 pm gusting up to 55.
Only have 8000 lbs in the box
Asked a Crete driver in the fuel lane if he came up north. He said yes. Asked him how bad the wind was and he said he made it thru. That I find out when I got there. He said he was busy. Lol. Meantime he sat at the pump for 20 minutes.

Deliver the load around 1230and got another load out of here going to Bellingham wa. Tomorrow. Drop is anytime from 0700 to 1330.
Load not ready for pickup toll 1930 tonite so bobtailed 8 miles back to 76 station and ate at the Mexican resteraunt for dinner. Sat there for a couple of hours and now I am parked here at the dc waiting till 1930.
Another ocean that picks up tomorrow in DuPont wa at a time b4 minute. Then tells at the salt lake ut terminal around 10am on the 20th. Both preplans were a package deal.
Forecasting for more high winds but hope they die down b4 I get thru there

 

Brookshire, TX @ the J. Got here @ 2:30 pm and had to pay for parking. GRRRRRR! The Loves 5 miles up the road was the same way 3 weeks ago except I lucked into a spot there.

I drop @ Ross/JB Hunt in Theordore, AL tomorrow then wait til Wednesday to pick up from Kimberly Clark in Mobile. I started to grouse about waiting a day to pickup then remembered that I'm 500 miles from final. Headed to Los Lunas, NM with no delivery appointment. I usually refuse "no delivery appointment" loads but it's going to Walmart. Worst case I drop it in the Albuquerque yard.

I delivered near here this morning. A tire load so it was a long unload.
Then a pplan to trade empties at the Sears DC for one that was leaking and bring it here to the shop.
I got here at around 1400.

Still no pplan, except for one. Walmart surge out of Grandview, WA, which I turned down.
I don't do Walmart crap. Been there, done that... never again.

 

Woke up to strong winds again In Lebanon or.
Delivered that load to Lowes yesterday afternoon and sat for 5.5 hrs till the trailer was loaded. Spent the night at the 76 truckstop down the street.Then dropped that at the Lowes store in Bellingham wa. Around 2pm today
Then it took be 4hrs and 12min to go 136 miles down here to Dumont wa for my pickup. Found a dirt lot down the street from shipper since I had only 17 minutes left on 11.
Tcalling this load thurs morning, supposedly, at the salt lake terminal.
Lot of rain to deal with and getting really tired of this wind lol
