two things about the wire brush, you might tear the floor up a little and you need to be careful you dont stick yourslf with it. all the crud and a little stick and you could have a nasty infection.
what i would do, when you have the time is take a really wet soapy cloth and let it soak on a portion at a time until the crude, etc. is soft then take the wire brush and it will come off easy. yucky, it would drive me nuts till it was clean. thats your house after all...

Hey Starchdoggy, I make up my own multi-purpose cleaner, and use it on all glass, dashboard, floor, everything. That pile around your shifter looks a pile under where owls roost! LOL!! It's really not funny.

I keep a commercial spray bottle of 50% ammonia, a small bit of grease cutting liquid dish soap, and fill the rest with water. What I'd try to do is soak the floor with that mix, and let sit a few minutes. Then take your brush to it. Once you get most of it up, if it works, soak down the floor again, then wipe up with old bath towels.

Since I slip seat every three weeks, I do this when I'm getting out of the truck for my week off. Luckily, only one guy in my rotation is a little slovenly, but nothing like you've shown. What is that pile anyway?:biggrin_25525:

it's a KW T-600 i think, and those floors are a pain in the ###, because they have the ridges in the floor, my 1st truck was a T6...

Yes it is a T6 and yes the ridges are a pain. Exactly what it is I am unsure, appears to be a combination of grease, cigarette ash, pumpkin seeds, toothpicks, peanuts, and who knows what else. The picture is from after it had been soaked and scrubbed twice. It was thicker. Yes it drives me crazy as I do have to live in the truck.

I have gone over the doors, dash walls and curtains several times now and except for a few areas that were really bad it actually looks pretty good now with the exception of the floor. I have spent hours working on the creases and joints in the doors, and dash getting deep into them to get nicotine stains out. I hope I can get the floor done tomorrow when I go back in. Thanks to all for the ideas and suggestions I may be trying several of them soon.

Can you get hold of one of those "sharks" the things that have the boiling hot water and a nozzle on them? They are great and would work for what you need it for.

I've got the smaller one and its great for things like that. You can't imagine how fast that gunk just comes off and with very little effort. Just don't do it on anything that's fragile LOL. I used it on a pickup truck that I bought that must have been driven by a pig (an insult to the pig) and the shark really worked on it.

Yeah the .26 cent thing is hard but I guess the miles are tough to swallow. 800/week average right now. I realize freight is slow now but c'mon! I came close to calling it quits but decided to hang in there for awhile. Maybe the scenery will change. ?? If anything it's the experience. At least that's what others keep telling me.
