Hey everyone so I want to get into the industry. I have a few questions and was hoping for some guidance. I am trying to switch careers into trucking. I am looking for a company in the Virginia region that will do my training and have a sign on bonus or at least working with my G.I. Bill I am trying to do this with no money spent out of my own pocket except for essential things. I have talked to a few companies but all their training schools are to far away or they want me to make my way to them. Is their company’s that have training centers in the Richmond or surrounding areas? I know Swift does but their training hours conflict with my current work schedule and they also don’t offer me a sign on bonus. I am hoping for the signing bonus to get me through the first few months. I don’t mind the work for them for a year or whatever requirements they have due to anything is better then what I have rite now. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I am stuck in my current profession and without something being offered up front I can’t afford to just walk away. I have training schools that will except my G.I. bill but again the training hours conflict with my current job. I need my current job or I will be on the street. So I could really use some good advice.
Want to get into the truckin industry in the Virginia region.

Contact Schneider Bulk. This company will pay for cdl school or reimburse the tuition back to you if you pay out of pocket. Maybe there a cdl school close by that has night or weekend classes so you can continue with your current job until graduation.
Call Schneider and ask about their tanker division; that's where the money is.
Sign on bonus programs are usually for experienced drivers. You should make $60K - $65K your first year with Schneider Bulk.

You're probably in pretty good physical condition if you just got out of the military.
Just in case though, Schneider Bulk does a heart rate test and you must pass.
Here's a way to practice:
