Company I was at prior to holland wanted fuel receipts scanned in. Not sure why. That was a ridiculous waste of time and paper. I hated that A LOT. It's the little things like that that add up to big pros and cons for and against a given carrier consideration for long term employment

BTW. Any of you running 2018 (and maybe 2019 I'm not sure), next time the hood is up, on the driver side, standing at the steer tire, look underneath, towards the back and the ground, directly behind the leaf spring. You'll see the front of an air tank. You should also see an elbow fitting that brings air into the tank on the end of the tank, near the top. My tank apparently worked loose slightly or was mounted incorrectly, and the elbow began rubbing against the rear of the front leaf spring and had developed a tiny hole. I knew something was leaking because the dryer started cycling frequently and could hear the leak but could not identify it without somehow getting underneath.
I got lucky in Idaho Falls last Saturday a half hour before Knworth closed. Went in a put on a sad face and a mechanic happened to be there at the parts counter and after a little hesitation, he offered to take a look. He crawled around while I was parked on the street, found where the problem was, and got a replacement elbow and fixed it. He said no charge, the register had already closed up. I felt bad and gave him $40 buck. But I was thrilled to get it fixed and not have to run days waiting to get to an open dealership elsewhere with a dryer cycling every 40 seconds.
So look underneath and see if your tank looks like it may be too close and about to begin making contact with the leaf springCorsairFanboy Thanks this. -

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! Just getting out of the house myself. Had to come home just after Christmas for a dental emergency that developed out in Utah. Abscessed tooth is a pain on the road. Got a load out of the greater Boston area, to Bullhead City, AZ.
Got caught in a snow storm near the house heading over to pick up. Storm rolled in a bit earlier than was forecasted. Roads are ice and snow, and not a plow in sight. Spun out going up a small hill. That's when I said it was enough for right now. No weight in this empty trailer for traction. Was fish tailing all over US-11, and was having a hard time staying on the road. Took me about 2 hours to go 50 miles. Waiting for the plows to clean the roads up a bit now.
Send a message in saying how bad the roads are and I didn't feel safe, and would probably not make pick up on time. Hope Dave isn't upset when he comes in, in the morning. I'd rather have a late pick up than to be getting a wrecker call and getting pulled out of a ditch. This will be my first late pick up since I started at Holland.CorsairFanboy Thanks this.
