Well the Cat truck was an International Paystar. (And a Prostar in Austrailia.) But Cat designed the interior and dash which is what the International HX has in it now.
So the old interior like I had in my 9900i and 5600i Paystar are gone and replaced now with that goofy cyclops tach/speedo gauge.
I haven't read anything official yet but I'm pretty sure the 9900i is being phased out right now. Because that is the only model still using the old interior and dash (which I prefer.)
So soon I think in order to get 9900i looks you will have to get the HX520.

Lone Star was designed with a Art Deco flair popular in the ‘30’s
Obviously kids today prefer the “kitchen appliance” appearance of modern trucks and carsBrettj3876, tarmadilo, Rubber duck kw and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'm still trying to find the pics I took of Lonestar's up here pulling log and chip wagons in and out of the bush.
Just to show these "plastic" trucks ### some guys called them, hold together off road just as well as any other truck. They're only downfall was the same as every other brand.....their Cummin's motors are all deleted, LOL.
Lots of nice 9900i loggers in my area too. (This Lonestar is not my pic, not sure where Ifound it.)
Brettj3876, Rugerfan and Oxbow Thank this. -
And my old 2002 9900i. C15 Cat powered. It's still working every day. Last time I looked in it, it had 1.5 million miles on it and has never had a major breakdown. Most reliable truck I have ever seen. Wish I still had it.
Also been around a fleet of 9400's that pulled 5 axle trailers in and out of the bush and mines that also refused to die. A lot of guys have poor opinions of International, and their Maxxforce failure doesn't help that, but the old 5000 and 9000 series trucks were pretty tough.
