You gotta be kidding me!? :biggrin_2551: If anyone breaks into my home at 2:30 AM they are getting shot and maybe stabbed depending on my mood and which room I am in.

Yes, Goldilocks that is correct. :biggrin_25525::biggrin_255:

    Agreed!

Any guy breaking into the truck presents a clear and present danger to me. How am I supposed to know what his intent is?

Its a fancy way of saying did he have a weapon or not
All over the country people are being charged for just this type of situation
Well this guy was in a truck but you get what I mean
I have a friend who lives in a real bad neighborhood
He was broken into and he killed the guy
His reasoning is hey I assume anybody breaking in is armed and I shoot
This was a few years ago, but now I bet they would charge him
    But this is liberal Wisconsin

It depends on the state . Some states you have the right to use any force to protect your home . This guy went too far though http://www.rawstory.com/news/2007/Shocking_911_tape_Man_kills_next_1116.html
Unbelievable . No charges were filed . http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2038879/posts

Weapon or not, any person breaking into my home is a danger to me. And at night, especially when groggy after just being woken up, how am I to determine if he has a weapon or not? Ask him?

In Texas, yes you can shoot someone for breaking and entering. I live here and I know. As long as they are in the doorway when you shoot to kill.

I've had numerous cops tell me that if you shoot while there running away, and you hit and kill, drag them back inside the house. They say questions won't be asked.

Just remember, leave no witness ;)

You come into my house, where my family is, or break into my truck where I am, bang, no second chances.
