Exactly. A lot of the plow drivers on Donner are seasonal employees. They work construction or logging most of the year and plow snow for extra bucks.
A lot of them are truck drivers. They don't like chain area campers.
If somebody is camped out in the chainup area they'll spot you quick. Some of them will lay up a pretty good berm and if you don't like it they'll be glad to call CHP to discuss the situation. CHP will be glad to call a wrecker for you.

YES! I like this mans thinking. Plow them in and we'll find you in the spring thaw just like "The Donner Party"

Wellllllll, maybe not quite that bad and it's not a common occurence but I've seen it happen.
What you don't want to do is, when the plow driver or a CalTrans pickup asks you to move, is to flip them off. That irritates them.
That's when you might get the big berm next to your truck.

    Oxbow and IluvCATS Thank this.

Oh I would be keeping that blade straight until I found a "chain up area camper" and at the perfect time flip it sideways and just bury them.

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

It's not really that much fun. I did it for a few winters years ago and you spend the majority of your time trying not to get run over by every other motorist.
    That includes trucks.

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

Don’t park in chain up zone. You could get buried alive by a maniac!

Oh I know. One time they had "minimum" up so I put chains on, get up to the camper and they say "oh we just changed it to maximum turn around and add 2 more and come back" I said I'm not going down and then coming back up you should have let us know sooner. Within 1 second he grabs his radio and says "CHP this is so and so we have a combative trucker need you over here" I was like I'm leaving I'm leaving geesh.

    IluvCATS Thanks this.
