See guys do that in the bush all the time when they need to move the loader a couple kilometers up the road. Just walk it off a bank and onto the deck, repeat to unload.

The pipeliners out in eastern Ohio do it. One told me 5 years old is a very old lowboy in their business.

This is just another day in our world here in the Marcellus / Utica area albeit not one of ones these size. Unless there is absolutely no other option we won't do it with anything over 360 size excavator or D8's but we have had too in desperate times. One thing for sure its a quick way to find inferior steel on cheaper lowboys you will just curl the edges down on second rate equipment.

Ha that's my point exactly! That thing probably deals with stuff like that all day everyday! It's a wonder it hasn't snapped yet.

    sdaniel and Humblepie Thank this.

What the video didn't show was the guy with the portable welder in the back of his pickup that follows the trailer everywhere.;)

And, for what it's worth, we've side loaded some pretty heavy stuff on the Cozad but it wasn't going very far and it definitely wasn't going out on a public highway.

When we have had to do it we also have to spin it on the deck to get it narrower. Excavators aren't too hard on things, but I wouldn't want to do it with a dozer.

SAR, shakerclassic, truckdad and 2 others Thank this.

The tires look like they were about to blow. I noticed the trailer had 8 tires per axle. I don’t know the weight rating on that but clearly not even close.
