HELP!! Dodgy company Hartwig Trans. Haulin mail for USPS

You need the new office location for logbook purposes. If the old office is shut up and closed down in particular.

I would think right about now is the time to quietly look for other work.

 

I'd find out who the top person is and contact that person and ask why I'm not being paid. Probably have to go to the website to find out who is in charge.
Time to move on to a new company.

There's a lot of good mail contractors out there to work for...and there's also a lot of shady contractors out there too...like Beam Bros (which went out of business). All Mail Contractors (HCR - Highway Contract Routes) are under the Department Of Labors McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and wage is determined by USPS.

I never really heard of Hartwig Transport before...more of the big name contractors like Eagle, MTI, Hoovestol, MCA/Pat Salmon, Postal Transport, etc. Most of the shady Mail Contractors I've heard about are from the smaller, lesser known outfits. But just like FedEx Ground, you'll have some contractors that are good and some that are bad out there.

IMO...I would start looking for another job. Keep copies of your trip sheets in case you don't get paid and report it to the US Department Of Labor.

 

On top of that, the op should contact usps to give them a heads up on what's going on.
