I've heard of other over the counter medicines possibly causing false positives, like Unisom, an over the counter sleep aid shows up as an opiate. But a beta blocker? It shouldn't because its not a benzo. Check with your doctor though. My GUESS is it would only show on a 12-panel test. The DOT test is 5-panel -
Would it show on a hair follicle test? Regardless, I have my own way to bring my BP down. Listen to music that makes me feel good.

Its mainly for job interviews and public speaking. You would still feel nervous, but you shouldn't be showing many nervous characteristics. The beta released in the brain that causes your body to show anxiety is blocked. That's all it does. I think the commenter was suggesting that to me as a way to deal with "White Coat Syndrome" so that the nurses can get an accurate BP reading that I have most of the time, and not a nervous reading because I have 5 people looking at my with #### hooked up everywhere and some old doctor grabbing my junk.

Ahhh. I apologise. I may be getting on with Swift and I was just trying to find out what is involved with the DOT physical. If I do get hired it would be my first truck driving job period and that alone would make me nervous. As for the White Coat Syndrome, that don't matter, as long as they don't put me on any medication. I hate that stuff. Pardon my interruption. Just ignore me. -
dtj12231989 Thanks this.
