I think 75K is very high. Almost to good to be true. Lots of driving jobs like to talk Averages or Up To. Drivers don't quite because they are making 60k-80k.

You can only drive about 120,000 miles a year. So you would have to get $0.62 cents per mile. That's working 70 hours a week. Maybe more then 70 hours actual working time depending on how you log stuff. It might be possible but most drivers quite because of the low pay and long hours. Some people look at trucking and think they should get pay for all time from when they leave home. Usually you only get paid when your driving. Probably some extra for unloading tanker or bulk trailer

Check out Millis Transfer. They have a school in Eden, NC.
5 week school then go out w a trainer for 15,000 miles and make .43/mile. Get your own truck after 5 weeks w your trainer then you'll make more. After a year you'd have between 50-60K.
Get some experience then shoot for a new gig making 75K.

Old Dominion Freight Lines hires new cdl graduates and can run teams making over $100K for each driver in the team.

Most technical types are very introverted. I got into IT thinking it would be a good place to just exist in a dark room by myself and make computer magic happen. 10 years later I knew almost all 600 agency employees names and all their personal problems... All the way down to the janitor that couldnt remember his 4 digit pin to open the janitor closet... Ever!
