dont letem fire you!!!!

Glad to hear that you were able to land another job. Some folks haven't been so lucky. In times like these with more drivers than jobs, companies will quickly let you go for little things that wouldn't have been a big deal a few years ago.

 

Well Now you are away from the big companies, I hope you stay away from them!! Smaller is better. I drove for Werner, and enjoyed it, but got tired of hauling the same loads for $1.00 or so less than friends who pulled for Percentage paid companies. (I bought one of Werners petes)

 

i know what your saying i got fired by my company for what there saying i pulled a trailer that was outa service load of crock. any way its been 2weeks Tue. and no takers i had watkin shepard turn me down becouse my old company says im a safety risk bs.. so if i cant get back into driving what do i do sign up as a student again or do the insane lease deals? ive beeen driving 13 years not a spot on my record i dont have any other skills

Same exact thing only lates were my firing reason. Exact same companies, Schneider said maybe, but I had to jump through hoops I wasn't real keen or capable of doing. Ha, CR England wouldn't even call me back lmao.

 

Good thing you got another job and rather quickly too. It doesnt take much for these mega carriers to fire a driver these days they dont care cuz they have hundreds and thousands of new drivers waiting to drive for peanuts lol.

 

oh u want one better Swift the nice folks they are made me sit for 4 days in Ringgold GA then drug my ### back too Columbus , Oh. with a load goin to indy and decided to can me no notice nothing ... how nice huh ...i certainly would have came back and quit had i known that was coming i asked them if my accident would get me fired and i was reassured by the safety dept i wouldnt be. i know the feeling and i gave up looking for an otr job

 

heres a good went to the job service she gave a number to i called it was jb hunt. we went threw the whole phone interview when she asked why i left my last company i told here and said sorry cant help and hung up and that was jb hunt. guess if u cant get a job at jb im screwed. time to pull out the gun..

 

I have established rapport with some small Company owners, I figure if I can get them to want me to work for them before there is a problem, then half the battle is won.
