BS, he is not even breaking the law. He already said he has the hours. The only thing in the way is the stupid ELD is in the other truck. If we were on paper all he would have to do is jump in the truck and fill in different company name and truck number. Everything else is on the new guy/company. New guy is responsible for insurance, application, drug test and everything else.

Yesterday I got stopped for a level 1, they asked for all my paperwork. After he was putting all the info in the system, he asked do I just run Cali (intrastate) I said yes, local (I was 150 radius that day) (running the graph). He never asked for my paper log(eld exempt for me). After the inspection, got my CVSA stickers and was on my way.

 

Man,every post I read makes me wonder why anyone would want to enter into a trucking career today.It seems like all the rules and regs have everyone on edge.I mean it's always been tough having to deal with the trucker police but all this electronic surveillance is just a lot of extra stress.Like a couple of other hands said, #### the torpedo's, take the money and run.If it was me I'd charge a dollar a mile and twenty an hr. any wait and unload time,cash only, that's the way"I roll".

 

No offense hand ,but the reason they add regs is the same as it's always been, money and control, and not always in that order.
