You're gonna think I'm lying, the day after my 27th birthday I got 3 of my top front teeth and all the bone holding them in place, knocked out by the steel lids on a 5 yard container on the back of a 31 yard Leach body.I'm one of the reasons they put plastic lids on dumpsters.

There actually are a few options.

You could probably go to work for a contractor driving a dump truck. If it's a good-sized contractor he may have tractor trailers also or at least he may need somebody to fill in for the low bed.

You could also go to Food Service. The right Food Service Place May hire you for class A or you may have to work as a helper or on the dock or something and they'll promote you.

Also if you're in an area where there is ABF Freight or some other LTL, they often will train you if you work on the docks. I think ABF has their own Driving School. I think they're Union also.

    Good luck.

Yeah. I know.I just get a little upset when I see where the industry has gone and how companies are taking advantage. They don't want experience, they want robots.
