That looks pretty good. Those routes were about the same for this particular trip. I wonder if it uses anything different than google. I like the O/O tools too though.

I run that route quite a bit... it's mostly two-lane, but not bad, especially if you do it on the weekend.

    From Augusta:

    West on I-20 to exit 183 (US-221)

US-221 south through Wrens, Louisville, Bartow.

Follow GA-78 just after Bartow where it splits from 221 into Wrightsville.

US-319 south from Wrightsville into Dublin.

    I-16 west to exit 39 (GA-26)

GA-26 to Cochran... then Alt US-129 to Hawkinsville

GA-27 out of Hawkinsville to I-75 SB about 13 miles to...

GA-300 south to Albany (there are a few different ways to get through Albany... stick to the outer loop and take 133/234 over to 62/91 to avoid downtown)

62 out of Albany to Blakely... 62 becomes AL-52 at the state line.

    AL-52 into Dothan

There is a Flying J on the south side of Dothan just off Ross Clark Circle at the junction of US-231. There's usually plenty of parking available.

Do not venture inside the loop or try to go through the city unless you are told to do so by the consignee. There are a few roads that have steep inclines over the railroad tracks... easy to get your trailer hung up on the landing gear.

Thanks guys, I'll print that out.

I made it to Augusta just now uneventfully (read: that's good news)... tried to hunt out my destination off exit 16 from I-520 but everything looked locked up. I traced back to Exit 9, according to the truckstop guide supposed to be a Sunoco, but looks like it's a C-Mart now, complete with CAT scale. So just did my 2nd straight back... eased up kinda close to swifty, so did a courtesy pull-up and left another foot or so between us. I announced on the CB "2nd time, did I scare anyone?"... but no one answered. Anyway there's a Waffle House across the street asking for investigation. Be back in a bit!

Brian sorry I missed your call, I was sound asleep until after 3pm! Passed the day good though.

Oh yeah I never touched my log book today... gonna have to get better about that.

See there, things are getting a little easier every time.

I had to stop in Barstow to get a shower. Gonna try to make it into Utah before I go to bed. Once I get on I70 in UT, I'll be outta cell service for a couple hundred miles, but it'll probably be tomorrow afternoon before I'm through there.

Yeah this time I planned my trip, printed it out, and as a bonus my GPS kept signal and agreed with all the turns.

What a BIG difference a good pre-plan makes.

I still gotta figure out a good system for this hopper bottom as far as arriving with it as clean as possible. I rode around with the tarp open but it rained a bunch, still drizzling. So it caked the stuff up. Then I closed the top and opened the bottom a bit so that corn gluten residue could creep out. I'm not entirely comfortable with the system but that was the advice given to me by the last guy that pulled it to try and save some crawling around and pressure cleaning bills. I don't know if wet and clean is better or dry with residue is better. With rain it's a hard choice. Guess I'll find out if they reject my trailer tomorrow.

Gonna have to get a LOT better about that! The fines are really stiff nowadays. :yes2557:

You've got a computer in the truck right? Get a printer and install DDL (Driver's Daily Log) on your laptop—makes logging a breeze. I've been using it for over a year now and absolutely love it!

Yeah Pharm trip planning does do a whole lot of good. That way you know where to
go by haveing planned with the atlas of whatever and then you can use the GPS as
    a guide.

Yeah dude that is one thing you need to be on top of is that log book. A DOT officer can pull you over at any time for no reason at all except to check you logs. So that is one thing you want to have taken care of. Or at least make it look legal.:biggrin_25525:

    Give me a hollar sometime.

Are you making friends with your new truck Pharm? I looked at your brokers web site. They let you look at a load board. They have a few loads in my area going to Michigan. Looks good. They have a load from Indiana to Ansonville NC. I want to haul all of them. I called Ampm dispatch at 5pm. They told me they have loads for tomorrow mid-morning. They told me call in at 8 am for a dispatch. My normal Detroit,MI run is cancelled this week. Shipper is taking a spring break.

Yes! I was hoping there was a paperless log system available. Is it easy to "edit"? I'm gonna google for it... hope it's not pricey.
