    Nope. You. Are. Dead. Wrong.

Let's hope the "dead" doesn't come into play in your career.

Do you want a prime example of "Exhibit A"? Go into the accidents subforum and search for the thread where a "professional" driver was caught on his driver facing dash cam, watching porn on Facebook, as he plowed into Arizona highway patrol cars blocking a previous accident. He killed a trooper. IIRC he was sentenced to about 8 years prison.

Are you REALLY sure you want to justify stupid behavior?

Man...not everyone here had a bitter response though! That’s the thing! Some people here actually gave a cool ### response. There ARE better people out there than others who are just plain bitter.

Whoa whoa, if you want to prove a point then just mention the following accident in Arizona like you just mentioned and then leave it at that. That is good enough The rest is unnecessary, childish stuff. People just don’t know how to keep things 100% objective without getting so personal. All that pointing finger stuff is immature and lack of good character.

When one start throwing statements like “please do all us a favor and don’t drive” etc etc. you risk making yourself look pretty childish.

Yeah I asked a funny question, it’s just even funnier at how reactive some people are to it. I don’t know about y’all but I’m only 26. If you’re way older than that and are that reactive, that says something about you as a person.

I guess what I'm saying is. You might want to expect getting your feelings hurt, or NOT getting the kind of answer you want/expect from this bunch.

If you have some common sense when asking a question then you'll probably get a "semi" intelligent answer. :p But ignorance and stupidity are 2 entirely different things.

If you look at my sig, you'll understand what I mean.

Naw, it’s all good lol. Far from having my feelings hurt let alone on an Internet forum. It’s just that when I see someone being bitter and negative, I want to help that person out. Some people here gave some actual good responses like the audiobook thing I never thought of that. It can be something I can get into as well. But when someone gets all emotional about it, it’s like...you need a hug or something man? Lol

Again, you are completely missing the point.

Your OP was all about trying to maximize distracted driving. Right?

The "bitter" folks on your thread have pointed out, sometimes butt ####ing directly, that your PREMISE is completely wrong.

Some have noted that you shouldn't consider becoming a truck driver. I would concur. So far you have shown a complete distain for wisdom.

Here's a bit of wisdom, from a rancher north of Cisco, TX. He put up four signs on his ranch that read:

    Choices become habits.

    Habits become character.

    Character becomes destiny.

    What is your Destiny?

As a professional driver you will be faced with thousands of choices every day. Do you accelerate to pass or back off and let those 4-wheelers through? Do you get over for the truck with the triangles out on the shoulder, or simply ride the zipper and let the 4-wheelers sort it out?

Your OP tells ME that you aren't ready for this profession. You are already trying to walk the line between stupid and idiocy.

    Gosh...

    ...I hope I haven't posted anything offensive...

    Read a book.

Nah just kidding. I have radio shows I like. Dave Ramsey, Colin Cowherd, Kevin Rutherford (sometimes).

Wisdom is being objective and non personal about things. I didn’t ask a question to get judged I asked a question for legitimate answers. Whatever my OP tells you whether I’m ready or not ready for this profession is 100% irrelevant as well as whatever line I’m walking. I bet some of the so called “professionals” here have been pulled over and done worse than watching some movie while driving so it’s beginning to be a moot point from here on forward because who knows, I may end up being a better driver than they ever were. We will never know.

OP was about if anyone here watches movies out of curiosity or if it’s even possible to do so regarding rules and such. I’ve watched plenty of videos myself while driving with my phone stuck to the windshield while watching the road and never once have I been in an accident or had any points on my license. So everyone is different.
