I prefer the compression fittings except I’m always short a darn ferrule and when is cold out or raining which it always is when I have a problem those push locks are sweet.blairandgretchen, Feedman, Crusader66 and 15 others Thank this.

@stwik Before you can push that brass collar in ALL the way you must get all the air pressure off it. Then push both the line and the collar in. Hold the collar and pull on the line. Sometimes it works better to put an open wrench against the collar to keep it held in. Like @HillbillyDeluxeTruck said spray soapy water to find the guilty fitting. No need to disturb any fitting not leaking. You may find more leaking after fixing the bad one. Sometimes all it takes is pushing and pulling on lines in the way to start leaking. I'll second @Oxbow. Great to assemble at the factory but nothing but a PITA for the consumer.
@Bear135 I don't expect to have an offsring now. I'm 65 1/2. But "things" happen if you get my drift.
@ShooterK2 I try to not get down in the mouth knowing that somewhere people are truly have a rough go of it. Sadly you are a good case in point. On the bright side any more most shops could have screwed up something had they done the job. You have learned something fortunately. You know all the job was done right without the "shop" shortcuts. There is always the pride in doing a good job which will stick with you for a while. 'Til next time. lol Best of luck
@TripleSix Those boots look like what a guy would wear when it is time to kick arse and ask questions later. For those who have no idea what those boots are all about please tell them (me too).blairandgretchen, Feedman, Crusader66 and 12 others Thank this. -

I never had any luck under pressure.Too weak? If you say it can be done I'm going to keep trying it. Thanks
I got what some of the know-it-alls call old junk truck. Not too many quick connects so I don't get much practice. I can't afford to use them as replacements either.Last edited: Jan 21, 2019
