Not loose control as in sliding all over, but trying to turn the truck with snow and ice and not being able to control it well enough to prevent it from sliding into other trucks. Many drivers will pull tight near other trucks, the problem with that is when they don't account for the momentum in slick surfaces, they keep going into other objects. I have two trucks with hood damage because of that.
A while back, I think in 2007, I was sitting in buffalo with a heavy snow coming down, knowing I wasn't going anywhere for a couple days so I was sleeping and enjoying the warmth of my newly remodeled and insulated sleeper when a driver decide to park next to me, his trailer slide into my sleeper because he could not control where it went on the slick snow (he had what were called tires but they were as bald as my head, he cracked the entire side of my sleeper at the seem and dented my brand new fuel tank that I just filled up for the first time. I got dressed and stopped the idiot from hitting it again and told him what he did, he had the nerve to claim I was moving when it happened.
It was a cold couple days being snowed in there even with the heater going.
Who else is having a bad week?!

I think the bendix went out or is permanently stuck on my starter. Waiting in Mankato for a massively over-worked dealership that is woefully staffed with mechanics. Send money and beer

There's a guy on the CB at the truck stops who's always talking about a party bus that goes to Mexico. I wonder how many of the party goers get disappeared down there.Rideandrepair, IluvCATS and Lepton1 Thank this. -

I guess I really need prospective. I was here thinking I had a bad night last night.
Get to the yard, mechanic parks truck outside instead of the nice warm barn. Had to start my night with a cold truck in 5 degree weather.
Get to warehouse, and tandems will not slide. Ice in the air lines.
Get to the plant and the dock breaks, I'm in the dock for 1.5 hours (normally have a 30 minute window)
That put me behind for the next few runs, meaning I didn't get a nap during my break, or a real break for that matter.Rideandrepair, Lepton1 and IluvCATS Thank this.
