Was the clutch brake a button on the shifter?

    I liked those better.

Good point, and sometimes you needed all of them just to get to 55 mph.

Those were on a push type clutch instead of a pulltype clutch.

Weather is fine. 20 degrees today and sunshine, no wind to speak of. And they re-opened I-80 about 11:00 this morning.

Of course it depends on when you are going to be here.....it will change.

At least with those you didn’t have knuckleheads jamming the pedal to the floor constantly while the truck is moving and burning it up like with the more modern incarnations.

Yep dad short term ran a 238 6×4 hauling 100k plus in the deck of his wiggle wagons. Just didnt get in a hurry. One of his old buddies tells a story of a Dot cop running after him in a rest stop trying to stop him. His buddy said he thought the cop was gonna win.
