I got my cdl through a trucking company and under a contract to be with them for a period of one year. Unfortunately, after about 4 months, i broke the contract on grounds that i'm no longer comfortable with OTR driving ### adverse weather condition. Subsequently, i joined another company to work locally as a frac sand hauler. Just after two months, the company i got my cdl from, put differently, the trucking company i was under contract with, wrote to my new company that i'm still under contract with them and thus, they will not release me . To cut this super story short, i lost my new job. Now,this company is saying unless i come back to them or pay them in full ($3600) otherwise,no company will hire me. What do i do now?

The most amazing past about that is a sand hauling company letting you go.

Apply for another sand hauler and explain that you have a debt to your old company that you're trying to repay. The old company can't blackball you from working

Talk to a lawyer. There hasn't been a contract written that can't be broken.

But the old company already did...They wrote to my new company that i'm still under contract with them and now my new company said they have to let me go.

There's no grand conspiracy between companies. The old company is trying to bully the new one.

Go find another sand outfit if your current company can't accept you paying back the old company

Crst? No Matter, the non compete clause is not enforceable. But you should have been paying your bill for training.

If you don't have the cash to pay it off use a credit card.
Look on Craigslist for a new job; many of those 2 & 3 truck companies couldn't care less what CRST or whichever company it is has to say about anything..

Pull 3600 off a credit card if you have to and give it to them and move on with your life

I was paying but when i left,
I dont have credit card , i just wish i had it Honestly, i would have loved to just pay them off. I called and pleaded with them to put me on a payment plan but they insisted that i have to pay in full before they could send a release form. Now, this situation is frustrating me; This will put me in a severe hardship. i've got family and a lot depend on me. I even called the new company to see if they could pay off my student loan but they resisted.

Simple, go back to work for them until you pay it off. Dont feel comfortable with weather? Winters not long from being over especially if they keep you in the lower half of the country
