Yeah it did. I had to take the maintenance foreman with me to go have a sit-down with the safety man and explain to him why I got all those violations.

No, no it did not. Did you not read all the regs I posted proving that?
Now I will give you, it might be an AOBR instead of the ELD you claimed. An ELD simply cannot use GPS for movement data.

You have yet to post anything claiming a prohibition on GPS usage. Only that ECM data must be used. Ever hear of belt and suspenders?

You have posted regulations that REQUIRE ECM. Not any that PROHIBIT GPS.

You mean other than the FAQ? And answer me this. If it MUST get movement data from the ECM, how can it be allowed to use a GPS?
It MUST get it from the ECM. Must means there is no other option allowed.
If anything else was allowed, like GPS, it would not have the word must.

Again, sorry English is so hard for you, but for actual English speakers it's fairly straight forward.

Did you know that computers are capable of doing two different things? They have to get the main data from the ECM but GPS can still be used beside it to help check for errors. Did you not read my other posts at all? Must does not imply must not.

Your employer can find this activity by going online to Omnitracs/Qualcomm and pulling up a report called “Odometer Jumps.”

Ok, I guess you were there and I wasn't.

The ELD unit was an Omnitracs. It was an ELD unit, we've been doing E-logs on them for almost 5 years.
