Also, I am intrigued by what you mentioned recently on one of these threads about nozzle size, fuel/torque setting 3 turns out or less, and turbo. I will need to get a turbo for it. I run a 177148 on the white one, and it does well, but always have had the feeling that I'm missing a bit once everything is wound up. It'll pull 110,000 up 6% grade at better than 25 and stay in the high side, so it's not too bad for an old stockish 425.
My neighbor (jpaydirt on YouTube) seems to believe in those switchblade turbos. Pretty pricey compared to a 177148, but I might have to pay him a visit and quiz him a bit.

 

Is it one of our drivers? We've got a guy who wears shorts year round. Even in Edmonton in February.

I would be interested to listen to anything you learn about the switch blade turbos. I can't find any first hand knowledge of them

 

200+ messages behind again, I'll assume I didn't miss anything earth shattering while I drove back home. 1100 miles of deadheading this week, still haven't done anything other than get popped for a random this morning. Maybe next week will be the week to work........ maybe.

 

Supposedly, they're supposed to offer the best of both Wastegate quickspool and conventional bigger windmills, but I don't know. I'm going to chat with a fellow that has them. He's so convinced that he put one on his Accert, D9, and one of his 637s I think.

Edit to add: He might be getting a sweet deal for promoting them.

 

I can see the best of both worlds in there design for sure. I still am not sold on the variable vane concept on a windmill. That doesn't mean I cant be persuaded to embrace the new technology though.

Since what happen to @Dye Guardian I was thinking, we should all give a significant other or close person a number or numbers of some of you from our sandbox.

I realize not everyone is connected but I think between the majority of us. We could get the word out to the others.

I gave my wife pretty much all my contacts lol. And since I told her about Connor she wanted to be able to have a bat phone list.

So just a thought since other half tossed it out.
