I always caught flack from drivers for "over doing it" when I was at the crane company. I know nothing is fool proof but I always felt better. One driver lost 2 counterweights for a 200t crane on an exit ramp. Thank God nobody got hurt but I kinda laughed at him cause he was always the one with the biggest mouth! I don't think I could handle it if I hurt someone or worse especially if it was my fault.

So when I get to Arlington next week and all our 4+ year drivers get on my ### about scuffing the tires... we’re all clear about why.

“Trucks come back here all the time”

Bet they don’t like too, Bud.

That’s a closed as they get... the rear slides back to create a spread axle.

I knew I was screwed on approach. The first turn to the backside of the building was tight but still had 2-3’ of room... I travel the remaining 400’ of building to realize I may take the #### post with me on the way out...

That post is probably 7-10’ off the side of the building too... they just love making it unnecessarily harder on ya. Nevermind all the broken pallets scattered around the yard.

Worst thing about firing into the air is that what goes up WILL come back down, and sometimes on somebody’s head with fatal consequences.

Word of advice, gentlemen. If you are one of those that likes to shoot a gun into the air as part of some sort of celebration, that is what blank rounds are for.

I like his style for sure. The fact it's a flat cab makes it even better. I have never been warm and fuzzy bout the ultra cabs

Lots and lots and lots of grain trains rolled through Sapp there in Council Bluffs... wasn’t sure what that was all about.

Few bull wagons though... either I was in the wrong hidey hole or they were rolling the pavement all night? ;)

Weird how those bullracks seem to huddle around certain exits. Either there’s a feedyard nearby or a restaurant they all must like?

Just giving you hell. I once, Once only after being told "others go back there". Went to the back of Toledo Freightliner with a tractor, 53' reefer hooked to 37' wrecker and 4' between wheel lift. You couldnt turn a tractor trailer around on the backside. Service manager came out and laughed at me. "I didnt know you had a trailer" I said yes you did because I told you. You didnt hear me. Well joke was on him. I backed it out on my blindside around building, new and customer trucks. Them he got lippy with the driver. He didnt know he was a owner op. Guys told him to GFHS and asked me to tow him back to Monroeville like I suggested. Paid the bill in cash and was happy as can be. The service manager didn't last there long. I didn't have to say a word. This Owner Op made me look small!.

Moral of the story, I walk alot now!
