Highway Transport, I drive for them and can answer questions.

I have a nephew who worked for highway transport, after orientation they gave him a brand new mack pinnacle with about 100 miles on it. He did system for a couple months with them and then switched to regional, they took him out of that new mack and put him in a 2010 mack with about 700,000 miles on it. He left highway because he did not like the variation in pay, short runs paid more per mile, longer runs paid less per mile, but in the end, it all evens out

 

Hey wsyrob, when my nephew drove for them he had a 70 inch sleeper, superior run the 60 inch

 

The Pete’s that superior runs always seem to b down. We have a couple drivers here in Pasadena who drive Pete’s, and everytime I see them they are in a loaner truck, seems like their truck is always in the shop. My terminal manager gave me the choice of a Peterbilt or a mack, I chose the mack and so far no regrets, they can keep those Pete’s

 

I believe Highway pays .52/mile loaded & empty? As long as longer runs are at .52 and shorter runs can go higher.. it should not be a problem.
