@catalinaflyer, I think I was having one of your moments.

Met a waitress with superthick long blonde hair. Yeah, the lions mane. Tricked her into leaning in close and I pulled her hair. She's physically strong (I like em strong), and like a human kitten. She purrs with physical contact. You can feel that she wants a full on Klingon mating ritual. Sounds good, right?

Gas station next door got hit. Cops come rolling in. This waitress panics and runs. Found out she has warrants from the others working there.

Oh well, I was so looking forward to the mating ritual. Curses, foiled again.

The timming sensor failure with show low oil psi to ecm, when oil psi is fine. Always put a manual gauge in main oil rifle below fuel pump. Remove sensor and check. If actually low, check piston nozzels.

Well if he is still in High School he is still a kid. He has time to change, and if he was mentored by some decent men could change his ways. There is a difference between him and a 40 year old boy! Cant lump the kid in with the boys!

Alright fingers crossed that my fuel leak is finally fixed. My boss pulled the fuel pump assembly yesterday, and found a couple seals that looked to be leaking.

Got to spend last night here at home before I leave out again this afternoon for S Tx. Gonna end up on recap hours by then end of the week because I wont get a full 34.

If the gear was spinning on oil pump shaft he would lose power steering as well, I'm guessing piston cooling nozzle(s) or faulty guage.

I bet he is thinking the gear inside the pump. You pull the sump line off and stock a screwdriver inside to see if they will spin

I'm going to step on my Johnson and give my perspective on this. I was in the military for 27 years so hopefully my feelings towards this matters a little bit. I'm not saying your wrong, this is just how I look at it. I get completely why people feel the way they do towards people that do that kind of stuff.

I was in the Air Force so I never charged any hills, had to march with a 150 lb backpack, stay in a tent in all kinds of weather, crawl around with all that on my back with an M-16, but I have been in places and situations, seen things bad enough that I had to sign things saying I would give away my firstborn if I ever revealed them.

I look at people like that as not necessarily trying to steal Valor but wish they could be in the military to experience it. Some people want to go in the military but are denied for various reasons, medical, been in trouble with the law, all kinds of stuff.

Ever been to an airshow, any kind of military gathering to show off firepower and equipment to help recruiting? Ever see the kids dressed up like the military folks at these events? Ever see kids that dress up like Police, Firemen, Dr's, kids that want to be truck drivers? Ever been driving down the road and feel like your on top of the world because your doing something that not everyone can do and you can? Your driving a BIG truck, people look up to you, yes, even in today's world.

They dress up like their hero's because they have it in their heads that certain people are hero's and that's what they wish they could be or hope to be. I would go to airshows with my aircraft, C-5's and later KC-135's and kids and some young adults were just in awe of what we did and us being there in our flight suits and engaging these folks just made their day and was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. You, all of you are a hero to someone somewhere, your kids, nephew, niece, grand kids, friends of the family, and you can't take that lightly, although I never thought of myself as that and still don't, I was doing what I loved to do, it was easy.

Anyway, the purpose of my explanation is that I agree with you Six on some of these folks that do this kind of stuff as being pathetic but I look at it as people wanting something so bad that they are willing to go stand out somewhere in a uniform with insignia's that make no sense whatsoever, or sit around and tell lies, and it is easy to spot as being fake, but you can tell people like that are touched in the head so I never bother them, I let them have their glory. They just want to have that feeling of being a hero for just a little bit, it makes em feel good about themselves.

I've seen all these guys on the news for stolen Valor stories and when they are questioned about their decorations they stammer and stutter and have no explanation, they just want to be recognized as hero's.

Personally I feel sorry for them. When I see real military members calling people like this out and calling them names I wish I could be there to help because a real military member can recognize how fake all this stuff is and how sad they are when they are called out.

Now, there are some who do get a uniform right and do sit around and tell lies and do steal Valor but I put them in a different category because they do know what they're doing. How you differentiate I don't know but people these guys who obviously have never worn a uniform, I am willing to listen to it for a little while because if I can make somebody feel like a hero, if not just for a little bit, at no expense to me except a little time, then I'll do it.

Yep, I should have been more clear. Press fit gear, no key.

If I didn’t know better I’d think you worked on one of these before.
