Yep, I remember when Cummins had a huge batch of oil pumps that would spin the shaft and walk forward just enough to disengage the p/s pump input shaft before total failure of the oil pump. It was always funny watching the face of someone that brought their N14 in for p/s just quit and telling them they needed a new engine oil pump....you could see the smoke and hear the gears clashing as they tried to figure out how the oil pump caused the p/s to fail.

Well, I need to find a different grocery store to go shopping for mine at, the last two started off really great then went sideways. I think today I'll head up to the other side of the tracks and try a Whole Foods or Central Market and see what I can find at one of those.

I dunno, but it seems to me that you are kinda skeptical about this guy ?
You wearing your full length shirt again ?
I'm thinking it's either that or you could use a Snickers.

How old were you when you started working? How old were you when you took responsibility for your own life? How old were you when the Men invited you to sit with them? And when you sat with the older Men, did you try to engage them in a "I will one up you on everything/lets have a pickle contest"?

One Sunday, I was sitting at the picnic tables in at the Harley dealer waiting for the place to open. A 19 yr old mixed kid comes riding up on a sportster. I greet him. He walks over and sits with me and we talk. Harley opens and other riders roll in, park and walk by.

    Are you an observant person?

    "Yes, I think so."

Have you noticed that 1/4 of the people that ride up and come in do not speak and say a greeting?

    "Ummm, no...."

They are afraid. If you carry yourself as a Man, they will give you the respect of a Man. If HE cannot give you the respect of a Man, it is because HE is NOT a Man.
That guy with the vest with the MC cut, he greeted us and said hello. Did you notice that his cut said, "KuKluxKlan"?

    (shock!)
    "But he said, "hello”???

He is a Man. He greeted you because you carry yourself as a Man. That doesn’t mean that you will be friends or that he likes you. You do not have to like a person to respect a person.

You know what Bear, some of these guys here I’ve known for a decade. Like Ruthless and CatFly, JD and Hammer. I really like your posts.

The cook is ex-marine. I know him. Every time he said something, this kid had to outshine him. It’s not about stolen valor. That’s disrespectful. Shameful behavior.

The last couple days project. The front and rear bumpers were bent up from the previous owner's alcohol involved adventures. The new owner is rhino lining the body red and frame/bumpers black. The purple spots are old holes he patched over and will sand down. We turned the golf bag holders and made a grab handle for his kids when they ride on the back. He wanted something other than the plastic floor for them to stand on, but didn't want shiny aluminum, so we went with 1/8" steel tread plate.
He was going to just live with the front bumper, but liked the rear 3" x 2" tube rear bumper, he wanted to do something similar with the front. Then, he decided he wanted to cover the space between the bumper and "hood". We added the tread plate for that. He's got around $80 of LED lights to put into it when it's done.

Forgot to add the 2" receiver tube, so he can drag his little yard trailer around.
