Yeah, hoping this one fizzles like the one from last weekend. We ended up 20 degrees warmer than they initially expected.

 

Oh yeah....I remember having a conversation with some other drivers. I told them it was thirty below in Michigan, just shooting the breeze. An ex Jarhead said we could keep all these cold temps. As soon as I told them the temp, he he goes..."You can operate in that. I had to deal with colder when I was a Marine." All of a sudden his balls of steel came on. Sheesh man, it's already been teens and single digits for much of January in those territories. Once it gets below 20, it just sucks all the way around. This ain't no balls of steel contest, this ish can kill you

 

Mississippi actually has a winter weather advisory up for tomorrow. Around maybe a inch.

Arkansas expects half in ch to a inch give or take east of mountain home-littlerock-pine bluff around 10PM until 2 AM. After the temps breach freezing and flips rain to snow at 10PM, whatever is wet will be ice until 11 am Tuesday when it gets back above 32.

HOWEVER.

Tues will be cold. WED will be colder than that. How cold? Let's say I have three space heaters of the oil kind, one behind the computer running 500 watts and two others ready. When it gets that cold on Wed all three will be up and pulling 1000 watts each with oil lamps on hand for a back up should power fail. I don't think I have to flip the space heaters to 1500 watts each on wed night. But that might happen yet.

 

You survived the Ice Age with nothing but a loin-cloth. Modern era tho, and you need pills to keep your sense-of-self stable.
