If you ever come down here to the deep south with a bit of winter weather or a spot of icing? STAY HOME. It is not YOU that is the problem, it is everyone else.

my truck has been covered in whatever they put on the roads for weeks now. It washes away when it rains then quickly comes back. I want to get it washed but not in freezing temps and not when it's just going to get covered in a hour

That is where the benefit of being here matters. We have had here a foot of snow one day, overnight the winds blow and sun comes up to a winter wonderland. This is where you shovel everything. But no you wait. 10 am the sun has been up hot and winds are dry humidity behind the storm front and half the snow is gone. By dinner that night half the left over melt wet is dried. next day no more snow.

You don't have to lift a finger for anything in terms of shovels and so on here. Nature clears it all out. As far as washing, there is a blue beacon here in the north galloway area off 40 that will put you inside and for a few dollars get it clean even if it's 32 out. Ive done it with my covered wagon and it looked clean and ready for texas the last time we run it through at 32 outside after all the BS salt in the midwest.

Man have you ever looked at craigslist or indeed? Superior carriers, Harrt, pottles, mbi, rc.moore, Richard carrier, ej carrier, champan, Lynch logystics/cmt, northeast transport, Poland spring, superior trucking (who I work for hauling water tanker), tree line, numerous logging/chipping outfits, not to mention construction when that picks up, ups, etc. the list goes on and they’re all hiring.

You can find work driving anywhere up here if you start looking and talking to companies. Good things don’t just happen on their own.

No, 100% think you should move to a warmer climate.
Move to Las Vegas and you can park your truck at the "Orleans Hotel & Casino" while on home time.

I live in NC, we encourage people to gamble so we can get money for the schools. Gambling addiction is well worth it if kids can read! Which..they still can't it seems here, but..eh...that's why there are picture books and magazines.

You know I jest in good fun @x1Heavy

Sirscrapntruckalot - I liked Arkansas. It's better then Urkansas.

    Awesome. Love it.

I had taken advantage of Ancestry, I would not be surprised if they have something to do with the Mormon Church, but Im not here to talk religion. There were valid databases such as US Census in a form we can understand working back using exact names, birth dates corresponding age at census etc. Addresses and so on. The cup runneth over. We are not finished yet. We just did Somerset going back to 1841 and Warwick (Williamsburg Norfolk) back to 1690. To go back further requires German and Wales databases to start and that will cost money. We expect to reach to either 1540 and or 1400 respectively.

Arkansas to be fair has bring in many people like myself over the last 15 years in particular. So many have come and in sufficient skills and diversity to build a state that is doing pretty good believe it or not. It's my adopted home. Jokes, teasing and hee haw aside. (There is a old show... anyone?)

I think we've scared him off of Arizona and Arkansas.

Go to Texas. It's big. They have steak.

You've had lobster. Now do the steak..fresh from the range. Like lobster fresh off the boat.

    Sirscrapntruckalot - Urine in trouble.
