I drove an Acert for several years got in the truck at 52?,??? Miles got out of it at 1,089,??? that was a #### good motor. Never had any trouble out it, the company just done regular oil changes and overheads.
I like my old E model I own it's been just as good.

I have 81k miles and 2200 hours on my 2019 pete 389 565hp 1850tq 18spd 342 rears so far no issues love the truck and power in the summer I was getting 5.8 to 6.3 mpg on heavy loads right now in winter heavy loads around 5.5 +- depends on weather all these averages I'm talking about heavy 76 to 80k gross on a flatbed

Ya I got 2018 Pete x15 565hp/1850tq 18speed 29k odo does good 5.5-6 is the avg could be higher with apu I like the motor just as good as 6nz in stock trim would rather have the 6nz for no def tho seems to be problem number 1 on all new motors with no apu

If the 6nz is anything like my 5ek the only thing that will stop it is running out of fuel. These motors just don't die if you take care of them properly.

I haven't driven either but my father has he gets 6.5 with a x15 and the thing dies on the hills. I rode with him a couple years ago and like once this year hauling 90k+ of milk that old c15 acert got 7 mpg 550 hp and 1850 lbft of torque could go up a hill with dropping only half a gear (18 speed) then when he drove the bosses truck it was a c15 acert 600 hp 2050 lbft of torque it ran 70 mph at 1500 rpm and i pretty sure nothing could stop that ol rig she could pull like nobodys business 6.9 mpg. X15 is good reliability wise with todays engine but a cat c15 well that thing cant die.

New motors are more sensitive to fuel quality and gear set up on truck for good mpg and power my truck does pretty good with the x15 I think the old trucks can just edge them out in all areas due to not have the restrictive def bs on them

    Trucker186 Thanks this.

I would take an acert over any ISX. Or any other engine of the same year. The only bad ones was the SDP.
