Using only load boards, I’m not sure. You might look into leasing on with a carrier that’s located around OKC. If you were using only the load board you’d have to work out what areas have the lanes that get back to OKC. You could build a route where every third or fourth load has you back home. That’s what I do right now. Every third or fourth load is back to Arkansas. I don’t go West of an imaginary line from Minneapolis, to Sioux City, IA, to Emporia, KS, and I’ll occasionally got to Amarillo. I run East and back, 600-750 mile runs unless I’m going straight to the Northeast out of Arkansas.

Looks like I won’t be leaving until Saturday. That means for December I brought in 18,800 in Revenue on 9600 miles. I also had 25% DH miles this month, also out of the ordinary. Not too bad seeing as I’ve had 10 days off this month. Lots of people tell me I haul cheap but I’m able to sock away money in the bank every month, so I can’t complain. I don’t like to bring in less than 20k but it’s rare I have this many days off in a month. Most of it was due to all my maintenance coming due and getting the bypass system on.
I bought some new Michelin wiper blades for the truck that says they’re rated for 1.5 million swipes and have superior snow and ice performance. At 17 bucks a piece, they better.
I also got my Engel 14qt freezer in. The freezer in the truck fridge is tiny and with the Engel I can carry around some vegetables with me. I’ll be strapping it down to the passenger side dresser with the existing strap that came with the truck, intended for a microwave.Dave_in_AZ, highwayMike, TallJoe and 1 other person Thank this. -

Had a chance to test these out today in something other than rain. I was in snow and wintry mix today from OH to about Saint Louis and I had no ice build up on the blade at all. I had ice all over the arms but not on the rubber. These kept the windshield clean the whole way. The shape also keeps them stuck to the glass in wind. The cheap ones will get blown off the glass in high wind and don’t get everything off. I wish I would have bought some of these sooner.Dave_in_AZ, Bumblebee101, TallJoe and 1 other person Thank this. -
