The conversion at this point is easy. -40C=-40F. We had wind chill values of -47C yesterday.
No fun if you have to get out, but I had to for about an hour twice.

Beans cost to much, corn is cheaper $3.89 a bushel this year.

No offence taken at all lol. When I go back to BC all I can see is acres and acres of forest. You can see patches where they've clear cut but there is much more old growth that clear cut areas. When you get up on top of the mountains on a snowmobile its truely incredible how beautiful the forests are.

I always liked the idea of living just below the glacier where the earth has just been scraped clean and everything is brandy new. My daughter took me to Seqouia Nat.Park and Yosemite last March, she knew it was on my bucket list.10 days of absolutely amazing views. We got 3' of snow in 2 days at Seqouia, and we drove into Yosemite in the dark with blinding snow. When I woke the next day I couldn't believe where I was and what I had to do to get there. It was amazing and very uplifting. We had gotten another 18" of snow. I drove over 1100miles, at least 100 of it in chains. We took over 600photos.I highly recommend it to anyone who loves trees and nature.I even have pics of a logging operation inside Yosemite.Your very blessed to be living in that kind of environment.

Wind was blowing 30 mph across open fields. Keying in on the scale almost got me frostbite on my fingers in just over a minute.
