What are you hauling, where do you haul, and how long have you been trucking?

I'm seeing a lot of loads posted on the west coast for a little over a dollar a mile. Not sure if they're actually finding people to haul for that cheap, but they're out there. Accepting cheap loads hurts us all.

How does the math work for those loads and companies taking them?

    It doesn’t. They’re going broke.

Sometimes companies have contracts where they are paid both ways even if there isn’t a backhaul. This way they can take a buck a mile and be fine. However, that’s few and far between.

I’ve been sounding the alarm since September and October but alot of the responses were snide. All those people have disappeared into the wood work now.
