Try telling the pickup or delivery place you going to the movies and you will come back whenever you feel like it. Try telling them you leaving for 34 hours and you will be back later to get truck and trailer. They wouldn't let you do that. That how you know it On-Duty time. -
Try telling that to a truckstop and then after the truck is towed your carrier. Getting fired for abandoning your truck. But hey, you were off duty so you can leave the truck just anywhere....
No, both cases are silly and have no relationship with real life. Plus, again, on duty has specific definitions. Not being able to leave the property isn't one of them.Rubber duck kw Thanks this.
