Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Ok... so I dodged a major bullet this morning... they were going to pull my truck off the road for high mileage... (703k) ... we looked at two other trucks and they were pits... ugh... but they opted to let me keep it for another round.

I was NOT looking forward to swapping trucks in 20 degree weather... and I just hung my tv too.

And, three trucks in two months...
oh god please noooooooooooo

 

Well, I was talking to our new Driver Development Manager... so I guess “Door Guard” and “Key Handler” is now Development... lol

 

Dear Lord, say it ain’t so.

 

Welp change of plans heading to Ft Worth instead,works either way.

 

Watching tv and see a Whataburger on this show. Oh man, I miss that place!!! Serious food envy going on as I eat my popsicle.

 

Indiana was horrible this morning, 70 was covered in snow and ice then 65 all thexway up to 80/94 was black ice and traffic was at a stand still when I got to 80/94 until into Illinois a little ways. Accidents everywhere. Was not a productive day but Ill be ok though. Hopefully roads and weather stays way it is right now here where Im at in Iowa.

 

Ugh... heading to Ohio here soon...

 

Hopefully all of that will be gone tomorrow, because I am picking up in Iowa and delivering in Virginia Beach on Sunday, and I-80 is the suggested route back all the way to Pittsburgh.

Anybody know if the roads are still closed in Pennsylvania?
