Yes, it had a 550 tune in it when I got it. I didn't know anything about the actual tune. I have a freind with an uncle that is a MHC mechanic and does some tuning on the side. We loaded tunes from 435 to the 600 hp custom tune he runs in his factory turbo truck with no issues.
I've been thinking of zip tieing the line. Been concerned about it as currently the truck makes some where over 35psi(last reading on the gauge) without putting it all the way to the floor. I always watch the gauge and dont push it over 30-32 which isn't long before egt's make me back down to 15-20 psi. I'll zip tie it in the morning see how it doe's I'm on short run where I can pullover if needed
Did you see the post where i unlooked the waste gate arm, left the gate in the open position and it maxed at 32 and 900 degrees when I pulled from 1500-1800? However it did have a slight lag and the egt's really climbed at anything under 1500.
I suspect my waste gate may be cracking open to soon, and then still not opening fully when it should. Mine has the threaded turn buckle but it has been crimped so I can't adjust it.
6nz c15 weird on going high EGT issue, unloaded

Would be nice if you had a chance to swap turbos with someone else to check it before spending money on a new one.SAR and Wannabe tech Thank this. -
I pinched the waste gate line. Trucks runs like it should egts stay at normal levels. It'll run loaded 500-700. I've been being easy on it, keeping boost at 30 or lower. MHC called my waste gate came in picking it up tomorrow. As long it will run good for a month, it'll get a full tilt manifold and larger non wastegate turbo
Thank you guys for all the suggestions and help.Diesel Dave and Oxbow Thank this. -
