Are you looking for someone to pay for the schooling or can you afford it yourself?

Why would a union member with a professional worth ethic have gaps in unemployment ? I don't know of any union training carriers . They all have those low non-union wages , less than $.30 a mile and you'll be lucky to take home $400 a week . If you accept training you have to contract to work for those wages for a year .

I have a union job at a food service company, and I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!! Where I used to work, the pay scale topped at 18 dollars an hour.My union job STARTS at that rate, plus all my medical, dental ,etc is FREE,whereas at the other place I had to pay.The people I work with now are more dedicated and professional. The last non union place was a bunch of clowns.
Every trucker that comes into our place is treated fairly and respectfully,no B.S.
Most of them always ask if we are hiring.Usually we are,it is just that most folks don't pass muster to be hired, because they do not possess the work ethic and professionalism required to BE UNION!
I'm pretty smart , know almost everything . Just curious why a union worker that talked down to nonunion members was lookung for a training company . -
10-4 he should have his own company by now !!

Well , I wish I could help him but when training companies see his job history and the pay and benefits he's used to they'll say he's overqualified and won't stay long .

Hello,
I am a recent graduate of HR Career development truck driving school in West Unity, OH. I graduated with my license on 2-27-09 and I have not been able to find any company that will hire me. I have asked the school to help in job placement and the closest they can get me in somewhere is June 7th. I have applied everywhere I can think of online and some local companies where I live. I have a speeding ticket that is two yrs old that was in my personal vehicle before I even thought about getting my cdl and it was for 16 over the speed limit. I would not think that is the only thing holding me up. The company that I have a possible employment with in June is with Covenant.
I am unemployed from Campbell Soup company and they probably will not call me back until July. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction. I have been turned down from TMC, Werner, and most of the big companies. I do not know where else to apply. Most of the companies keep telling me they want experience and the only experience I have is from the truck driving school and some from about 10 yrs ago when I worked for a moving company and I had my temps
I am willing to go Over the road long haul or short, also I am willing to do team or solo. I also have doubles, triples, and tanker endorsements on my license. So if there is anyone that can help or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. This unemployment just is not helping pay the bills.
Thanks, -
