Hardly any Mack guys on here compared to the cat guys so i figured we should have our own thread
@Ezrider_48501
@Pedigreed Bulldog
@Tombstone69 lets see that B81
@MACK E-6 if you could tag any other members with old dogs that would be much appreciated.
Specs specs specs don't be shy. 12/40k rears. Old school triple OD 14613 .87 .73 .62 in the big hole. Normal shift pattern. 3.91 and Lo-pro 22.5 . 1400 RPM @68 running the big road it gets 7.5 and 8 running 10-15k in the box
My dads 93- swapped out 16.9:1 to 15.3 compression. Ditched the small S300 turbo for a s475 (171702 with mack housings 950$ - stage 2 injectors from rochester diesel and a $400 resistor that plugs into the Bosch P pump. (Opens up the rack all the way)
The best 400$ you can spent. The toggle switch I'm pointing at is the blixxton module. 120 more horse. You will need a pyro but now with lower comp piston and bigger windmill egt never touch 950
S475 compared to the s300. The old 350s have the same size turbo as the 460
Pretty big difference. S475 will hit 42 all day and 45 psi when its real cold
Now for the 99. Mack 460 18 speed/4.42 top loads on 11R24.5
Has a 1400$ blixxton Mack200 tuner with 28 settings. Gained .5 mpg and running big road gets upper 6s low 7's if you keep it @60 242wb and the 93 has 221 or 224 ill have to check. 99 has 44k rears and either 14.3 or 14.6 fronts it came with 16 ply H rated steers

1992 condo ch 400hp 9 speed and 3.91s
@JPenn I didnt forget about im reading you pm in a secArt Vandelay, JPenn and Tombstone69 Thank this. -
My dad found a guy an hour from the house that is a wizard with tuning P pumps. Were going fully mechanical. For 4000$ he's gonna put bigger barrels/plungers and a diff cam. Mild, not something too radical and open the rack all the way
600-625-650 at the fly is what my dad is shooting for. By the end of this summer will take it to Antrims and put it on the roller.
With 77k I ran 81 the whole length of pa and only had to split into direct. -
Here's some photos of my work in progress.
1965 B81SX originally a V8, now 285hp,with the Quad. I had two but the town didn't like that idea.Its a shame too because the rails weren't too bad.Saved the cab and doors fenders not much else.

I'm at work when I get home I'll get out the build sheet.Originally it was a tandem dump. The 5th wheel is a heavy haul Holland, I think it's rated 150k, double latch came off 1970 R model.Town made me get rid of that also.Bad word.
Tug Toy Thanks this. -
You do have your work cut out for you. If you decide to stay all mack I know a guy in Binghamton that builds P pumps.

Were converting the 93 to full mech. We just bought a 350 mechanical for 1750 pump included. Turns over 360 degrees, that was a steal.
Gonna have the pump turned up 30% and timing around 27-30 degree advanced. Will lose cruise control but that doesnt bother me. Ran a load of rig mats across I-80 in pa and only had to split into direct. The guy running with us had had 500 cat and we pulled away from him. Such a great feeling going by a decked out large carTombstone69 Thanks this. -
I have 1st place in the ugliest Mack in the truck stop every time.
It makes the exact same amount of money as the brand new trucks that the company driver's wreck -
Here's one of our long-gone Superdogs outside of the old Colgate plant in Jersey City.
