My grandfather had a story about it being so hot at one time that all the corn in the field popped becoming popcorn.
The cows saw the white ground and thinking it was snow. They froze to death.

Believe that one, stick around and I will tell you another (yes that was one of Grandfather Willis's favorites)

It was only cold for 3 days.
I hated it but it froze and killed all the insects and ticks.

    #### — that’s a big wildcat. Do you get up and sandpaper his butt to get your day started?

Yep — turpentine would add a whole new dimension to sandpapering a wild cat’s butt
