$41-54k holy cow that’s crazy. Why would they even offer something so ridiculous to anybody. Nobody in theire right mind would even consider that.

Its tough since i only got 2yrs, in cali, and a new DOT... You wanna put me on your insurance ill pay it obviously and give you some extra monies for your troubles? Lol jk

Just lease on to someone till you get the experience needed. They kill the little guy with these rates and let the big megas self insure . Throw around enough money and you can make your own rules and influence laws .
jamespmack Thanks this. -
Looks like ill have to if i can't find anyone to insure me. I wonder if theres anyone on here thatll let me run under their authority to start getting familiar with DAT, if not ill go with Mercer so it's no biggie

These new authorities are just pan flashes and many of them rack up claims and vanish so yeah the insurance is high for all of us.BoostedTeg Thanks this. -
I dropped 20k last month to start my own fleet (paid for the whole year). Cost about 7k for every truck I add right now. I've practically recouped that already. Just living on the edge of my seat right now hoping nothing terrible goes wrong.
The fact that my companies destiny is in my own hands makes it well worth the investment to me. Still have a lot of time left in the year for fits to hit the shan though.ronslam Thanks this. -
Tim- If im not able to get insured, you wouldn't happen to be looking for another driver would you? If so and everythings seems nice, ill be interested in joining if you run open deck, and if it's load board no problem since i used to run with a large lease operator company so i know how to deal with agents and navigate the boards
