No, he wasn't that bad. I can' remember but it seems he was wanting to go 3.70s with a .73 18 speed and tall tires. It was doable, but 4.10s would give him plenty of road speed and be far better for the heavier stuff, especially on those occasions mired down in the mud. I imagine most guys that gross 160k or more frequently would prefer 4.33s or shorter.
The biggest thing that I recall is how he harped on the 2050 torque. I believe that many of the guys prefer high horsepower ratings but not as high of torque, because letting it pull down below 1500 rpm for long periods of time is not the best way to increase engine durability in this line of work. I don't haul that heavy, and run older engines, so I am not qualified to offer an opinion, but the jist of it was that he would ask for opinions and then argue about it.cke, BigCam9670, wore out and 5 others Thank this. -
