Haha that's smart on her part! If your number gets stolen then you get to deal with it and not her. Meanwhile she gets her stuff.

Sorry to hear this. I lost my dad back in 2001 to stomach cancer He did the same thing, he was a man's man and decided to just tough it out. By the time they found the tumor it was too late. They gave him 6 months at that time. Definitely a good PSA, and once again, sorry to hear about your brother in law. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Orientation is over. We had a great time. I couldn't of had a better group of guys. Everyone was awesome and we really enjoyed each other's company. Jamie is a great trainer and all around cool guy.
Go out with my trainer on the 19th and because I live so far away Millis put me up at the hotel until then. That's awesome for them to do that. As much as I would love to go home and see my family before I go out, it's too expensive. I'm going to be really bored sitting here waiting. But I guess I will just enjoy it as much as I can before I'm in a truck for 6-8 weeks.

I guess I should have explained a little better why that note in the load description was so ridiculous. Our whole load system is completely internet based. I have a Qualcomm, but it never gets used for messaging. I literally get one message a month from our safety department. That's it. All this thing does is track my hours and info for IFTA. If you don't have a smartphone here, you can't function. Period. These brokers know that, hence the reason I chuckled. I have a tablet as well but I use that mainly for games, and to control my wireless printer. But it comes in handy for loads as well. Our brokers either call, text, or email. Mostly email. I'd be dead in the water without this phone.

There's something really cool that I've noticed since I started posting a 3 years ago. Folks in classes started keeping in touch with each other if one of them has been posting here. It's like a seed gets planted because that person is already used to having a community. Do that, man. Stay in touch with them. Help each other out. Having your classmates with you on the road is a wonderful thing. And a great learning tool, because y'all will be learning from each other. And tell them to get their butts over here lol.

I've met people on Facebook and YouTube that are starting training at of the terminals in March and April. But I have yet to find the first person that is going to the Eden, NC facility in April. Surely it's not going to be an empty classroom lol.

I'm guessing that they're getting students when other locations are full. Most of their loads dried up when Miller closed.

Yeah I see they are getting loads from GP out of Big Island. Miller being gone hurt a lot of people up that way There are 5 signed up for the April class, me included. Still kicking myself in the ### daily for ever letting it go in the first place, but it is what it is. Just gotta work my way back up.
