We have no beard policy but follow the facilities policy.
If you have a trip to a known customer we provide razor and cream and you can knock it down in the mens room here before you go or dry shave to requirement at site, most times the policy is enforced to drivers that enter the interior of the facilities and not the load racks.

No beard allowed? Then I do not work for you. LOL. With carriers begging for decent drivers, why would they eliminate something half of all american men now do? Keep a light beard. Seems ridiculous. I don't look like the same person clean shaven and that clean shaven look is NOT for me!! To each his own, but this is truck driving, I mean come on! 99% of our time is spent alone, why the need to be shaven like in boot camp or something? Beard and specifically light beards are 110% in and accepted widely now, just like tattoos. Everyone has a few.

    Did you read this thread?
    Probably google respirator/facial hair.
It's not about appearances it is about respirator fitmant in an emergency.
Like wearing FR even if your not on fire..
You only have one chance to save your life in an emergency, but on the other hand, you'd be rockin' that open casket funeral

I still call BS. I've never actually entered a chemical plant where I walked all on the inside of the plant flowers fully accessible to things that could blow up and be fully exposed to toxic fumes gases or fire. Also, if there was an emergency I would just take off running to my truck grab the mask put it over my face and not fully strapped it in and hold it in place and get the hell out of there. Companies like heniff they transport some pretty toxic hazard as #### and they havean open beard policy you can't have a duck dynasty Viking beard but it has to be trimmed and neat. That's all we're asking. This allows to have some facial hair

You can have any beard you want here.
Trust me I have a ZZ Top/Duck Dynasty
Going now, I keep it neat and groomed but haven't heard a word about it.

My employer requires it because we have to be fit-tested for full-face respirators. I assume it's that way for everybody in the oilfield.

I'll remind you that we don't have a facial hair policy but must be clean shaven to requirements of the facilities we are entering.
